I loved the private patio with a hot tub and the well-equipped kitchen. The facilities were great, including the big screen TV and the ability to do laundry. The caretaker was helpful and the location was perfect for exploring the island.
There was nothing I didn't like.

I stayed at this well-equipped single room apartment for my honeymoon on the Big Island. The location was perfect for exploring the east side and Volcanoes National Park. The amenities were fantastic, including the grill on the covered terrace, free use of the laundry/dryer, hot tub, A/C, and free wifi and phone calls. The place was very clean, quiet, and in a nice neighborhood. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were lots of DVDs to watch for free. it was a perfect stay.
Would recommend this hotel.

I couldn't have had a better place for my recent stay. The check-in instructions were thorough and easy to follow, making finding the place a breeze. The cleanliness of the accommodation was exceptional, and the decorations made it feel cozy and inviting. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything I needed, including plastic utensils and paper containers for picnics. I also appreciated the provided beach towels, chairs, and cooler for my beach trips. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place.
The area is a little remote, so there weren't many dining or shopping options nearby. However, if you're willing to drive to Hilo or don't mind having McDonald's for dinner, this won't be an issue.

The room itself was super private, quiet, and had every amenity we could possibly need. It was spotlessly clean, and we were blown away by the fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and living room. The hot tub was a jaw-dropping bonus, perfect for relaxing after our adventures. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and never intrusive. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our trip to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands.

The studio apartment was perfect. It had everything we needed, including a private whirlpool. The host, Robert and Debby, provided a list of local places and times for meals and farmers markets. The location was ideal for visiting Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and other activities. We loved the area and hope to return soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hidden gem in Keaau. the location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore Hilo, the black sand beach, Volcanos National Park, and the hot ponds. the hot tub on the patio was a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. the studio apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchenette and a large fridge. the hosts were friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. We can't wait to come back for another visit!
The low water pressure in the shower, but it didn't take away from our overall enjoyment of our stay.
